Completing the school run, there is a legal requirement for taxi drivers & private hire car drivers to hols a valid and up to date safeguarding children training certification.

Importantly, this e-learning safeguarding children course is designed to give anyone the confidence to act or aid in a safeguarding situation should the need arise.

This online level 3 safeguarding children training is aimed at many working environments, but ideal for taxi drivers and private car hire staff who are in direct contact with children & infants.

• Child development, the negative influences on it
• Key legislation, guidance in relation to the safeguarding of vulnerable children
• Your own professional responsibilities, as well as those of your colleagues and partner organisations
• Document and report concerns relating to child abuse or maltreatment
• Taking adequate history
• Assessing parenting capacity
• Forms of abuse and signs of abuse
• Recognising and responding to abuse, with specific guidance on note taking and recording your concerns
• Contribute to inter-agency assessments, as well as the gathering, sharing of information and where appropriate
• Work in partnership with others
• Completing local reviews
• Including child death reviews
• Lessons learned from recent serious case reviews
• Participate in inter-agency working
• Supportive to vulnerable children and their families, or guardians where safeguarding concerns have been raised
• Be familiar with your local organisational protocols
• The referral processes to your local safeguarding team or social services
• Aware of your information sharing responsibilities within and across multi-disciplinary teams

On completion of this training course you will be required to complete an online assessment with a pass mark of 80%. If you do not pass on your first attempt, you do not have to worry, as you can re-take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.

Course Certification
This online training course is available with free safeguarding children certification, which is available to download and print on successful completion of this e-learning course.

Our CPD certificate can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.
